When talking about Censorship on the web it really wasn't a thing back in the day we could have said anything to anyone online and got away with it Scot free. Now you look at today's world it now changing dramatically people are facing court over silly little comments and others facing serious time in which country you live in.

The main sites that are causing much of these changes in are law are Twitter, Facebook, Ask.fm, and plenty of well known sites. For myself, the first time I heard of a story where the english government and Prime Minister David Cameron having to promise a review of the country's privacy laws over the Ryan Giggs twitter scandal were the English newspapers could not mention the name of the footballer due to a court order. Somehow the name appeared on Twitter 75,000 times which at that point everyone knew without the papers and it impossible to jail those 75,000 people said one politician this was point when I knew the new law of the internet was coming into effect.

For Journalism it great anyone can do it all you need is the internet there you go but depending on what you say or leak in your country government it may get you in serious trouble even blocking the site Twitter from the country for over two weeks due to corruption and blocking their people from viewing this because of elections. Turkey's prime minister had got the power to do this he even got youtube blocked, but was later overturn under the freedom of speech act and got the guys from Twitter to change things that would suit the PM. 

These examples i explained our what we are getting like for new laws on the internet, to be honest these changes aren't going to do much if it for a good cause, but for people who aren't wise the might face a jail term.
